Anybody who ever hung at the South Jersey shore in the summer
always knew the routine--it wasn't where you went at night, it was where you
wound up at dawn. And that place was usually the shabby, sweaty Dunes located
on a little stretch along the Longport-Somers Point causeway. You could always
count on finding a packed house in the wee hours, with loud music and lots of
beer on tap. And then as you stumbled out it was time to go for breakfast.
