The rock scene in Philly really began to take off in the late 60s when The Trauma was the premier rock room, located in a commercial section of town at 2121 Arch Street. Promoter Manny Rubin broke many of the hot new acts--none hotter at the time than supergroup The Electric Flag with Mike Bloomfield & Buddy Miles who played to capacity for two nights in March 1968.
