We remember the 1964 Phillies season like it happened yesterday. So close to winning the pennant, but they blew a big lead by losing the last 6 games of the season and the rest was history. It would be at least 10 years for the team to return to greatest. The 64 team got together for a reunion and there were 22 signers on this Bill White National League ball, including Richie Allen, Jim Bunning, Johnny Callison, Cal McLish, Art Mahaffey, Roy Sievers, Rick Wise, Clay Dalrymple, Gus Triandos, Jack Baldschun, Cookie Rojas, Tony Taylor, Tony Gonzalez, Alex Johnson, Johnny Briggs, Dennis Bennett and Gene Mauch.
