Would you believe that Philadelphia, was once a mecca for modern jazz! There were clubs all over town, from Pep's and the Showboat to Ciro's, Click and the Cadillac Club. By the mid-50s multi-star shows were packaged and presented at venues like Shibe Park, The Arena and Convention Hall. This handsomely restored poster is from the late '50s for a swingin' event featuring Count Basie & His Orchestra, Louis Armstrong & His Jazz All-Stars and the Lionel Hampton Big Band. 12 x 18.
