Description

In the very beginning, for the first three seasons, the 76ers front office occupied a small suite of offices at the old Sheraton Hotel at 17th & JFK. The front office consisted of ticket manager Mike Ianarella, his assistant and son, Richie, and announcer and team publicist Dave The Zink Zinkoff. That was it. Period. The owners Ike Richman and Irv Kosloff had other careers and offices elsewhere. The coach Dolph Schayes didn't need an office. It was very different from modern times. Today's 76ers front office staff can fill up half the arena! The 76ers didn't even hire a GM until after the 66-67 championship season, when Jack Ramsey became the coach and gm. What a great time it was!
