Remember when Chelsea was the hottest place for the coolest teens to stay back in the 50s and 60s? There were dozens of motels lining Pacific Avenue, where for a reasonable fee 30 of your closest friends could pack in and spend the night sleeping wherever they could wedge in. The Caribe was one of the best because they didn't even bother to have lifeguards, they just let everybody from the beach crash the pool. Those were crazy days!
