Frank Palumbo and Ben Corson were the Kings of Clubs back in the 40s and 50s, and in addition to the famous Click at 15th & Market, they also owned Ciro's a few blocks south on Walnut at 15th. Philly was a celebrity magnet back then and anybody who was anybody—film stars, musicians, pro athletes, politicians, wise guys and local personalities—made it a point to check out Ciro's for a night out.
