Long before The Palm, Ruth's Chris, Capital Grill and all the other steak houses, the prime pick in and around Philly for charbroilled steaks, chops and seafood that was grilled to perfection was at the Open Hearth. Our favorite was on City Avenue, where the humungous baked potatoes and bottomless bowls of house salad were every bit as memorable as the food.
