Long before McDonald's and Wendy's and BurgerKing hit the scene the fast feeders in Philly were Horn & Hardart and Linton's. It seemed like no two were alike--there were coffee shops, fountains, grills, sit down restaurants--but the food was consistently edible and cheap. Used to love how in some Linton's locations the food used to come out to you on a conveyor belt. And you couldn't beat their bottomless cup of coffee at 10 cents. Those were the days!
