Kids of a certain age from Overbrook Park, Manoa and Havertown will remember back to the 60s when a bag o burgers was all the rage, and drive-ins like Mister Ed's and Scotty's were two of the hottest places to hang...certainly better than Gino's, Burger Chef and McDonald's. At Mister Ed's you could get a great burger for 12 cents (add 3 cents for cheese), fries and a shake for about 50 cents. A lot of places have come and gone at that little corner on Township Line, but the memories live on!
