It was the early days of the NBA but the fans came out to see the Harlem Globetrotters. In fact, the Philadelphia Warriors played the preliminary game of this Arena doubleheader in 1951! In those days the Globies were already world famous, as well known for the showy antics of Goose Tatum and the masterful dribbling of Marques Haynes and precision ball handling of Babe Presley.
