Here's a cool blast from the past--a handsomely restored authentic showcard from way back in the day when the legendary Showboat Musical Bar at Broad & Lombard in downtown Philly hosted all the top names in jazz. The night was Saturday, November 16, 1963 and Philly giant John Coltrane jammed for a memorable show along with another Philly cat, McCoy Tyner, plus Jimmy Harrison and Elvin Jones.
