If you had a beef back in the 40s thru 60s chances are it carried the label of Formost. The local food processor was the foremost favorite for kosher salamis, bologna, pastramis and hot dogs delivered fresh daily to the neighborhood deli or grocery. And who remembers when the legendary announcer Dave Zinkoff used to give away Formost salamis as prizes at Warriors and 76er games, or send off care packages to the troops!
