For generations of Philly kids one of the greatest phenomena of our time was the drive in. We saw the first McDonald's and Gino's and, of course, the originator--The Hot Shoppe--but let's not forget one of the joys of summer...going to the Dairy Queen for a cone topped with a tower of creamy frozen custard.
