Would you believe that Philadelphia, was once a mecca for modern jazz! There were clubs all over town featuring the best bands, quartets, trios, combos and soloists! The year 1953 closed out on a high note when the Miles Davis quartet turned up the heat at the old Blue Note on December 8th, with Miles on the horn, Charlie Mingus on piano, Max Roach on drums and Philly's own Percy Heath on bass. This handsomely restored poster is a blast from the past. 15 x 15
