One of the finest neighborhoods in Philadelphia's illustrious history, Wynnefield was the place to live in the 40s and 50s. From City Line Avenue to Diamond Street, Wynnefield was a neighborhood that was well known for its richness as a center of the Jewish community. Har Zion, B'nai Aaron and Beth David anchored the religious community, the shops of 54th Street and City Line Avenue served the locals, and we grew up in schools like Gompers, Mann, Beeber and Overbrook. What a time it was!
