Hard to believe but the Philly region was once the beer capital of America. There were dozens of brewers located around town, from the big boys like Bergdoll and Erlanger to Ortlieb's & Schmidt's. Out in the 'burbs the old Valley Forge Brewing Company was still barreling along into the late 50s until ultimately selling the brand to Schmidt's. That was pretty much last call for Valley Forge Beer! Color: Foamy White
