The music scene was flying in the Philly area back in the day, when jazz joints like Pep's, The Show Boat, Cadillac Club, The Click Club, Ciro's and Spider Kelly's were bringing in the crowds and the best jazz musicians on the scene. And one of the biggest scenes was in North Philly were some of the heppest clubs were clustered. The Blue Note, at 15th & Ridge was flying with Bird & his band one memorable October night in 1949!
