Back in the day, when Atlantic City nightlife had electricity and an undeniable style, all the cool cats and kitties headed to the swell nightclubs around Kentucky Avenue, like the 500 Club, Club Onyx, The Paddock and one of the all-time best, Clifton's Club Harlem. The Clifton brothers got the joint jumping, but when Ben Alten got involved the best entertainers of color always appeared at the Harlem, and people would line up around the block to get in for Larry Steele's legendary Sepia Revue. And then all the entertainers in town would show up for the breakfast show. They don't have joints like that anymore!
