The North American Soccer League wasn't alive and kicking for all that long when Philadelphia fielded an expansion team in 1978. The team and the league only lasted for two seasons. It's pretty bad when the best thing about your team is the ownership--Peter Frampton, Rick Wakeman and Paul Simon. Too bad they didn't play at the games.
