Remember when Baltimore Pike in Clifton Heights and Springfield were little more than the area's first McDonald's and Gino's drive-ins (although Charlie's burgers were and are still better)? The bizarre Bazaar of All Nations was the big shopping Mecca. Places like Luciano's and the Springfield Inn served fine dining and the old Palm Beach Swim Club was the hottest place to be. But for cool times nothing beat Playtown Park! The merry-go-round, the Ferris wheel, the mini-golf, the games and rides…it was always a great way to spend a day or night.
