Philly kids of a certain age will recall a time when spending a day or night at the neighborhood movie palace was the best time you could have under a buck. And that included the price of admission, a box of popcorn, a soda and some Goobers or Raisinets. Best of all, the entertainment was continuous from opening till closing, and you usually got to see a double feature, a few cartoons, a 3 Stooges short, a newsreel and maybe a western serial shoot 'em up. What a time it was!
