How about those hot summer nights at the shore? After dinner with your family you probably dashed down Atlantic City's famous boardwalk to one of the piers - Steeplechase, Central, Million Dollar or the legendary Steel Pier. Or you passed the time in the playful arcades or stopped into the shops. But the one place that appealed to kids of all ages back in the day was the Boardwalk landmark, Hi-Hat Joe's, where a hot dog and draft root beer set you back a quarter.
